I cannot handle crumbs or clutter. When I already feel like I’m juggling a thousand things, those two little details can send me over the edge.
I know it’s inevitable when traveling with kids — but over time, I’ve found simple ways to minimize both on road trips. Keeping your space clean doesn’t just look better, it saves your sanity and makes everything more efficient.
With a few easy systems in place, you can spend less time managing the mess and more time enjoying the journey.

These are essential for not only protecting your car, but for keeping your space clean. Crumbs? Not when I can just dump this car seat protector out on the grass at our stop. Quick, easy, AND stylish? Say less. Get them here

It is inevitable that there will eventually be some sort of crumbs, mess, etc. A quick and easy way to take care of them is a vaccuum that is compact and easy to store in the car without taking up much room. I tuck this one under the drivers seat with some antibacterial wipes. It works great for a quick clean. I’ve even used it while my kids nap at our destination and it’s not quite time for them to wake up yet (IYKYK). Get it here

I love this one. It’s small enough to not take up too much space, but large enough it can hold snack wrappers, drinks, and anything else we might need to get rid of. This one is stylish and has additional storage. I recommend it to every mom friend who is about to hit the road, or even for every day use! Get it here

These are new to me, but WOW, I’m obsessed. They’re on our back row of seats and provide additional space for hanging stuff up. It’s inevitable you’ll stop at a gas station and get a bag of snacks and drinks. Toss that bag onto one of these hooks and they’re accessible without taking up too much space. It keeps up organized, easy, and I hang our next product from one too. I love these and think everyone should add them to their must-have list for a road trip. Get them here.

Kids can easily add to the lovely odor a car can accumulate. Loose crumbs, snacks, fast food, damp clothes, car sick….it can all add up. I found these a couple of years ago, and they are a game changer. I have a hard time with scents, so these are perfect. The don’t put off any smell BUT they absorb everything. They are neutral, keep your car smelling fine, and don’t add another scent into the mix. I even have them in our shoe closet at home…life hack! Get them here

These are essential to keeping things organized and clean too. I love a good snack container for kids, and these are it! Stainless steel to avoid harsh plastics, easy to clean, and even easier to use and fill. I always keep one in the glove box so when a snack is requested by a little, I can just toss them into one of these cups without being concerned its going to end up all over the carseat or car. Finally, I use this organizer for keeping the random things needed for a road trip. It’s large enough to hold everything extra that is needed, but small enough that it doesn’t take up necessary space for travel. I love it to keep our family organized and my car clean. Get it here
